Roadmap

What we are building next for precise AI UI handoff.

This roadmap is a public snapshot of where Modify is heading across live UI editing, AI prompt generation, and HTML to Figma capture. It is meant to show direction, not make release-date promises we cannot defend.

The main principle is stable: keep visual intent tied to the real page, then make the output increasingly useful for AI coding tools, designers, and engineering teams.

Now shipping focus

The current focus is not on adding novelty for its own sake. It is on making the existing review loop sharper so teams can go from a visual issue to a clear, actionable prompt with less cleanup.

More precise AI prompt exports

Improve the structure and specificity of generated prompts so AI coding agents can map visual changes back to the right implementation targets faster.

Richer visual context

Capture more of the surrounding page state so prompts stay useful when teams are tuning responsive behavior, CMS content, and edge-case layouts.

Cleaner visual-to-code workflow

Reduce the friction between visual adjustment, exported prompt, code update, and final QA so the tool fits the way teams already build with AI.

Next priorities

After the core review loop gets more reliable, the next gains come from helping teams reuse good habits, coordinate across roles, and connect exported prompts to implementation with less manual stitching.

Reusable UI tuning patterns

Make it easier for teams to standardize how they tune launches, landing pages, experiments, and CMS updates so exported prompts stay consistent.

Better multi-role AI handoff

Support workflows where designers, PMs, developers, and AI agents all work from the same live page without losing clarity about ownership.

Stronger implementation mapping

Improve the bridge between visual page changes and the files, components, classes, and selectors that need to change in the codebase.

Longer-term direction

The longer-term goal is to make Modify the cleanest bridge between live-page UI tuning and shipped implementation. That means the browser remains the source of visual truth, while the exported output gets smarter about what the AI tool or engineer needs to do.

  • Keep the real webpage at the center of the workflow instead of forcing teams back into screenshots or duplicate mockups.
  • Make exported prompts useful for both humans and AI agents so teams can choose the implementation path that fits their stack.
  • Help teams move from approved visual state to shipped code with less ambiguity and fewer prompt loops.

How we prioritize

We prioritize features that remove ambiguity from real review workflows. If a change helps teams move from "we found the issue" to "we know exactly how to implement the fix," it is usually a stronger candidate than a feature that only looks impressive in a demo.

We also bias toward improvements that help multiple roles at once. When designers, PMs, developers, and AI agents can all work from the same exported context, the whole UI loop gets faster and cleaner.
